• Americans with children spend at least 10% of their household income on child care. 58% of working parents rely on child care centers or sitters that is about 6.38 million parents across the nation. The child care industry in the United States is valued at $54 billion.

• The average cost of infant care (for children 2 and under) is approximately $1,275 per month or $15,300 annually.

• The average cost of child care for pre-school children (from ages 3 to 5) is $850 monthly or $10,300 per year.

• The average cost of child care for school-age children (6 to 12) is around $483 per month or $5,800 annually.

      Pet Care 

•  Pet sitting costs $10-$65 per day, depending on the location, length of the visit and number of sitter's duties. 

• According to Census.gov, "Over the decade ending in 2017, sales of pet care services doubled, to a total of $5.8 billion, according to the latest Economic Census statistics." It does not include veterinary services, boarding horses, transporting pets, pet food or other pet supplies. Pet boarding and sitting can be costly.

      Home Care Services

• Depending on your needs home care services cost varies. 30% of homeowners surveyed say they plan to spend more than $10,000 on home projects in 2022.
