Why are caregivers required to do a background check?

Even though Sworn Care is a marketplace that offers a platform for caregivers to find their dream job, and for individuals to find a caregiver to take care of their precious loved ones.

It is Sworn Care mission to provide a safe platform that introduces honest, qualilfied and professional caregivers and workers to families. Safety and trust is important to us and ensuring that only qualified individuals are allowed to communicate with members seeking to hire. Therefore we require that all caregivers complete a background check and I.D. Verification through our third-party vendors. We may require active caregivers to complete a background check anually as an effort to maintain a safe site for everyone. Once all background and verification processs is complete caregivers can create their profile and it will be visible across the site. Please note that the background check and I.D.Verification is to ensure we provide a safe place for people to hire and find jobs, we also encourage members seeking to hire to do their own due dilligence on perform their own background check as a precautionary measurement and for their own safety. Due to our privacy policies and federal law, we are unable to share the details of these checks with other members of the site.

Can I request the results of a background check of a caregiver?

Yes, We will notify the caregiver of your request and if the caregiver agree we email you the results to your verified email address on file. Please note that some caregivers are more responsive than some, if you don't get a response from the caregiver we encourage you to move forward. We will even assist you by suggesting a few of our top caregivers in the category you requested.

I would like to hire someone. How should I proceed?

All Caregivers would have completed a background check in order to apply for jobs but the checks we perform are to ensure we over honest, professional caregivers. Background checks are not always 100 percent accurate theefore as a part of your hiring process we encourage you to perform your own background check, in some cases you may request a copy of the caregiver background check results if they agree for us to share that information.

By purchasing and running a background check at time of hire you may have access to additional information such as driving history, traffic violations, and civil records.

Also, you will receive your own copy of these reports so that you can review the results yourself.

There are various background checks it is up to you to do the one that suits you best.

How much does a background check cost?

We charge a one-time fee of 25.00 for background check and I.D. verification, this fee is seperate from your monthly subscription fee.

I would like to hire a caregiver. Why do I need to verify my identity?

Persons that are hiring, and would like to request a background check needs to verify their identity, this information is used to verify who you are before allowing you access to privy information. Caregivers will have piece of mind when they know their possible employer is verified.

What Fees does Sworn Care Charge?

Unlike other care-service businesses such as "Care.com" we do not charge for multi-level membership or premium subscriptions which can get very expensive. We do not take a percentage of your pay.
These are our fees and are subject to change in the future.
$9.99 per month subscription fee flat rate and you have full access to post jobs, apply for jobs, hire and communicate with whomever you like.
$25.00 per month subscription fee for businesses
$25.00 flat fee for background checks and I.D. verification for certain caregivers seeking jobs working with seniors and children.
